From our small workshop in Herefordshire, we create beautiful, individual coffee tables using traceable British-grown timber.
Each table begins with a carefully selected piece of wood. Rather than hiding its natural character, Matt works with the grain, knots, unusual markings and flowing edges, allowing the beauty of the tree to become part of the design.
Made from a single slab of British-grown elm, this handcrafted coffee table celebrates the natural shape, grain and character of the tree.
The flowing live edge has been retained rather than cut into a conventional straight line, while cold cast brass detailing highlights selected natural features in the timber. A pale sycamore frame sits quietly beneath, allowing the elm to remain the focus.
Handmade in our Herefordshire workshop, this is furniture designed around the timber rather than forcing the timber into a standard shape.

We believe beautiful furniture begins with beautiful timber.
This tabletop has been made from a single slab of British-grown elm, chosen for the movement and individuality within its grain.
Rather than cutting away the irregularities that make the timber distinctive, Matt has worked with them. The natural edge has been retained, allowing you to follow the original shape of the tree, while cold cast brass has been used to fill and draw attention to selected fissures and features within the wood.
Look across the surface and you can see the grain moving from one end of the slab to the other. Changes in colour, figuring and the irregular edge aren't defects to disguise — they are part of the story of the individual tree.
The lighter sycamore frame creates a gentle contrast with the richer elm above it, giving the table a contemporary feel without competing with the timber.
The table is finished with a food-safe oil, protecting the wood while allowing its natural colour and grain to remain visible.

This tabletop was cut from a single slab of British-grown walnut. Rather than removing its irregularities, we've kept the natural edge and character of the wood and used black resin to fill selected fissures and features.
Look across the surface and you can follow the grain from one end of the slab to the other. Knots, changes in colour and the flowing edge aren't defects to be hidden — they're the story of the tree.
The pale ash legs provide a quiet contrast to the darker walnut, creating a table that feels contemporary without losing its connection to the woodland it came from.
