NestAway Folding Wooden Glamping Chair
Long summer evenings spent on the Welsh coast sparked the idea for the NestAway. Matt was forever mending cheap folding chairs while the kettle sang over driftwood flames. “There has to be a better way,” he muttered, sketching a silhouette in the sand.
Back in the Nuthatch workshop we translated that sketch into solid, sustainable Douglas Fir — chosen for its natural weather-resistance and honey-gold grain. Each slat is planed smooth, its edges rounded so they’re kind to bare legs and favourite jeans. The gentle curve of the back follows the spine; the cut-out handle echoes the arch of a bird’s wing and makes carrying effortless.

Every chair is made start-to-finish under one roof: no distant factories, no container ships. Off-cuts warm the workshop stove, shavings mulch the veggie patch. It’s our way of ensuring that when you sit closer to the earth, the earth is better for it.
